X-Ray

An x-ray is a quick and painless test that generates images of the structures inside the body, especially the bones. X-ray beams pass through the body and are absorbed in different amounts according to the density of the material through which they pass.

Dense materials, such as bones and metals, appear white on x-rays. The air in the lungs appears black. The fat and muscles appear as shades of gray.
In some types of x-rays, a contrast medium (such as iodine or barium) is introduced into the body to be able to see more details in the images. It is an important diagnostic tool for a large number of pathologies. We currently have the Intech Futura indirect digital radiography equipment, which allows us to have fast and quality images.
